Description:
At an Estate sale last week, I missed out on it because I was a nice guy,,, As usual he listed it on Ebay, it didn't sell and he called me and I brought it home today... It's missing the part that is used to switch to different letters in the cylinder. (See pics) I'm looking to get this part..
I will post pics of the case soon..
As you can see, the sticker from the Panama-Pacific Line - it appears that this typewriter may have traveled through the Panama Canal

I hate to use the expression "Treasure Hunter" But it fit's, and that's what I do. My wife calls it a problem, I can think of a lot worst things to do in my spare time. Antiques have always been part of my life, they keep you grounded and keep you in touch with the old days of hard work, ingenuity and craftsmanship. I'm kinda old to get started into this new hobby, but when I jump in, I'm all in…I have a lot to learn so be patient with me...
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hammond Multiplex on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hammond Serial Number page and the Hammond Multiplex By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
