Description:
Royal Arrow. This was the first typewriter I bought myself. My wife and I found it at an antique shop. She bought a Royal Quite De Luxe that day and I bought an arrow. Since then, I've bought dozens of other typewriters, but I have to say this typewriter types and feels better than the majority of them. I know it's not an Olivetti, Hermes or Olympia, but it's a work horse and that's why so many authors used this machines.

I'm a software engineer in the Chicagoland area. I've been collecting "vintage" vinyl, computers, mechanical keyboards and typewriters since I was a kid. Born into an analog world, but grew up in a digital one.
My wife is a writer and I enjoy problem solving and puzzles, so naturally fixing I fell in love with fixing and maintaining typewriters and she then gets to enjoy all of these machines!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Arrow on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Arrow By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
