Description:
Olympia enters the office compact market late. A direct competitor to the SC250. The SGE30 appears to be the same machine. There wasn't much of an ad push for either. Maybe they wanted to sell the SGE45 instead. This is a serious bit of engineering. Things have come a long way in a decade since the intro of the 5TE . Check out the diamond plate and the carriage frame is chrome plated.

Typewriters are the perfect blend of using one's technical skills, history and functional purpose. My goal is type tested machines. My interests are not isolated to anyone area. For example, I am a big fan of Smith Corona electrics, mid century electrics and all things Royal.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SGE35 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SGE35 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
