1988 Privileg (Olivetti) 350 T Serial # unknown 1988 Privileg (Olivetti) 350 T typewriter, Serial # unknown Alfred Kaltenecker's 1988 Privileg (Olivetti) 350 T typewriter. 2023-07-20 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Alfred Kaltenecker: 1988 Privileg (Olivetti) 350 T Serial # unknown Last weekend I stumbled across a plastic box on the floor of an antiquity store. This was it. Dusty but merrily flashing out in bright yellow, a typing something, funny - it made me feel happy. Not bad, a little bit flappy and not that serious as the big office brothers - more eye catcher for entertainment. Now, further research indicated that the Privileg 350 T is identical with the Olivetti Lettera 92, designed by Mario Bellini Architects. This reference typewriter was issued first in 1988. Therefore it may be assumed that the Privileg 350 T didn't appear on the market much before the 90ies, rebranded by Olivetti for the trademark of the German "Quelle" trading house.

Cubic typeface (Olivetti Quadrato 12 CPI) and Olivetti knurled nuts which require spools with a 6 mm centre hole (style 2)

Collector with typewriter virus living in Austria. Fourty years ago typewriters were only standard office equipment for me. I was really glad to get my first but simple word processors in the early Eighties with delete, copy/paste and whatever wonderful functions. This fascination is over. Now I have returned to real mechanics.
