Originally, these had a plastic tab to protect the case from being scratched by the carriage return handle. This replacement I used is a bit big, but its grey. What you can see next to it is light not a scratch. Mine is in surprisingly good shape.

Never seen this before, oiling the platen bearings (where are they?) and oiling the line spacing lever, which is actually the carriage return handle as per the instructions, not the lever that changes to say 1,2,3 spacing.
