Description:
Rather simple but effective machine that, at first, appears cheap or simple but once you start typing you know there is a simple quality baked into the desgin. The plastic shell hides the internal mechanics. T041

I have always enjoyed tinkering with mechanical "things". For a number of years my wife wanted an IBM Selectric, The machine she used many years ago as a secretary. In 2020 we found one at an auction and bought it for $15. It took another $150 for the typewriter repairman to get it working. That turned out to be T001 in our collection. In the beginning we bought whatever we found. Now I am concentrating on the portables rather than the older office machines. The collection is getting large and it is time to start posting on TWDB.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Fleetwing on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Fleetwing By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
