Description:
#523
If the condition were better, and the seller wasn't planning to retire after the sale, I would have acquired it.
Update: I now own this beauty... (It seems from the posts I've been reading, I got my "Enterprise" the same day T. Hanks got his...)
I'm willing to bet these have an interesting back story. Only made for 1961, dark forest green color, named after a battleship? (after all, Star Trek didn't happen for another five years...)

"I was born in a crossfire hurricane"...
A professor in college gave me the gift and appreciation of the letter form.
Typewriters are just little "print shops" for me.
I have an MFA in 3D Digital Sculpture.
I no longer mold young minds, by teaching art to high school students, everyday is a safari now...
In my spare time I own and operate an equal opportunity rescue shelter for all makes and models of typewriters that have been abandoned in the bottoms of closets.
No matter how many typewriters I am fortunate to be able to collect, my collection will not be as nice as Herman's...
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Enterprise on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Enterprise By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
