Description:
I saw this Olympia at a local shop in nearly perfect condition.
Inside the case I found the original receipt for the typewriter. It cost $131.74 (including tax) when it was bought in San Jose, CA in 1960.
The typewriter has an interesting typeface: Double Gothic Pica.
The serial number is stamped on the bottom on the machine.

I'm a novice collector with a very small collection of mostly nonfunctional typewriters. I enjoy tinkering and repairs, so I am slowly but surely putting these typewriters back into service.
