Description:
Such a nice machine to type with, and I'm positively smitten by the design of its case, and yet for some reason I keep forgetting about this portable when thinking about front-of-class models produced during the '50s. In my book it certainly is an underrated typewriter.
As for the Quiet-Riter's nom de plume, the two examples I have of this model type almost as loudly as most other portables its size. Some day I'll have to make up a new decal for it: "Slightly Quieter-Riter".

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Quiet-Riter on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Quiet-Riter By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
