When I saw a Skyriter I thought, "That's it!"
So I bought one. It really needs a better platen and of course the automatic ribbon reverse is questionable, but it's a handy little machine.

When I saw a Skyriter I thought, "That's it!"
So I bought one. It really needs a better platen and of course the automatic ribbon reverse is questionable, but it's a handy little machine.

The old feet were permanently glued to the frame with age. It took a bit of cleaning to remove all the old rubber.

Plastic spools! I'd like to have original steel spools, but at least a lot of the old ribbon spools are being reproduced in plastic so the typewriters can still be used.
