1950 Underwood Leader Serial # H2071947 1950 Underwood Leader typewriter, Serial # H2071947 Marina Garrison's 1950 Underwood Leader typewriter. 2024-09-06 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Marina Garrison: 1950 Underwood Leader Serial # H2071947 Cute little Underwood Leader. I was surprised how small this thypewriter is (although still pretty heavy). This typewriter is a 1950, Made in Canada version with a Pica sized typeface. Picked this up at Value Village thrift store for $25 in 2022. I have a suspicion that this typewriter was a mathematics typewriter. The symbols */!=+ and degree are all on the right side of the keyboard. A degree symbol is extremely rare as ia a ! on a typewriter of this vintage (because you can also use a . ' combination).
