Description:
Unusual Robust, one of the last of the first batch of 15.940 Robust produced for Wehrmacht in 1941.
The typewriter is undeniably a Robust, with all the specific parts of the model.
The fact that it has the ribbon cover of the Progress and was delivered with an ordinary bag make me thinking it was produced for officers or some high ranking member of the army.
It is also in unusually good conditions for this kind of machine.
Last serviced probably on April 04th, 1956...

Interested in historic motoring and vintage cars, I received a typewriter as a bonus when I bought and old off-road car. The previous owner had found somewhere a typewriter produced for the German army and when he sold me the car he gave me the typewriter too. As I learned later, it was a1961 Olympia SM7 Robust..
Of the typewriters I value more character than perfection, the signs that time has left and the stories - or fragments of stories - of those who used them ...
