Description:
The carriage wouldn't catch because of a chipped loose dog. I fortunately had a parts machine with an intact loose dog that I swapped in. I used a very helpful 3D-printed reproduction of a Royal portable ball bearing feeder tool to reset the carriage on its bearings and pinion retainers.

I'm a novice collector with a very small collection of mostly nonfunctional typewriters. I enjoy tinkering and repairs, so I am slowly but surely putting these typewriters back into service.
