Description:
Purchased at a local flea market. As it has no case, a hazmat suit was needed during the cleaning process. The typewriter cleaned up very nicely and really like the look to the point that I'd enjoy having more Remingtons in my collection.

I bought a typewriter for the sole purpose of journaling and writing with no thought given to working on them as a hobby. On a whim, I purchased a second typewriter, which I knew needed some cleaning and adjustment. I discovered that this exercise took me back to simpler times when I maintained electromechanical switching equipment in my early days of telephony.
Typewriters: a collection of complex Rube Goldberg contraptions that collectively perform a simple function, to put ink to paper. How wonderful is that?
