1932 Remington 5T Serial # V527334 1932 Remington 5T typewriter, Serial # V527334 Gerald Ambrose's 1932 Remington 5T typewriter. 2023-02-27 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Gerald Ambrose: 1932 Remington 5T Serial # V527334 Spied on eBay, and was the only bidder.
It worked upon arrival, but needed a fair amount of rust removal from the paper tray.

I’ve owned many Remington Portables and this one is the nicest one to use by far! It’s responsive, very quick, and much quieter than the others I’ve owned. I can see why Remington stopped development at the Five with only minor refinements later on with touch regulators and a conventional line space lever.

I started collecting typewriters several years ago and it started with a late 1960s Smith-Corona Sterling portable that I got as a gift.
