Description:
Spied on eBay, and was the only bidder.
It worked upon arrival, but needed a fair amount of rust removal from the paper tray.
I’ve owned many Remington Portables and this one is the nicest one to use by far! It’s responsive, very quick, and much quieter than the others I’ve owned. I can see why Remington stopped development at the Five with only minor refinements later on with touch regulators and a conventional line space lever.

I started collecting typewriters several years ago and it started with a late 1960s Smith-Corona Sterling portable that I got as a gift.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington 5T on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington 5T By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
