I decided that I wanted to find the one typewriter that I remembered my mom using to type my term papers in school. Even though we couldn't find it, I found that I enjoyed typewriters and started a collection. It extended to rescuing the ones in my parents' basement a week before it flooded.
I enjoy making machines work and especially like to use the Smith Premier typewriters.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Corona A on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Corona Serial Number page and the Corona A By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
