Description:
This is my third Remington accounting/bookkeeping machine with Wahl mechanism.
It came with two totalizers. It is missing the two back feet, the right ribbon spool, at least one screw, has a broken drawband, and is obviously very filthy.
It also will need a replacement backspace key top.
Unlike the Model-121, but like the Model-23:
- It doesn't have a shift key.
- The number keys are in front of the space bar.
Surprisingly, pressing the number keys stills makes one of the totalizers increment!
I doubt that it will clean as well as my Model-121 but we will see!
UPDATE: I now have replacement back feet, from somebody's parts Model-121.

I started collecting my first pre-WW2 standard typewriters in 2017. Since then I have added a few machines to my collection, which now ranges from the 1880s to the 1980s. As of 2024, I have more big standard (desktop) typewriters than portables, a few standard electrics, and some unusual machines like Varitypers, uncommon IBM machines, and more. I am not a pro restorer, but I have restored a few of my machines beyond simple cleaning.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Vertical Adder 21 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Vertical Adder 21 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
