Description:
Here's a gorgeous, green Remington Portable 3 typewriter from August, 1929, just days before the stock market crash and Great Depression. This one was purchased in the Gradyville/Glen Mills, PA area outside of Philadelphia, just after St. Patrick's Day in March, 2024. The seller, who lived on a horse ranch, said that her mother bought it secondhand in the 1960s in order to get a typing job, which would raise the money with which the family bought their first horse, and that subsequently turned into a lifelong passion for raising and riding horses. Needed a thorough cleaning and a new drawband, but the rubber was surprisingly well cared for.
