Description:
This is a very nice dark-and-light orchid Remington portable 2 from about 1928. This one is a bit hard to date, because the serial number is SR, associated with the Sears-Roebuck Porto-Rite, but the years don't line up there. The advertising I've found on it dates to 1927/28, which is consistent with my other orchid Remingtons. So I'll put it there. In pretty good shape, though missing a few flecks of paint. New @/cent typebar, rubber feet, drawband, etc. Purchased in Garden City, NY in February, 2025.
