Description:
The small eagle has landed. I was curious and bought it. But I'm not really convinced of the mechanism. Lot of friction and noise. Not the best typewriter in my collection.
Detail: The machine runs with a 11 mm (7/16 inch) ribbon which surprised me. I took one of my Rooy portable ribbons and wound it on the original Adler bobbins. Perfect.
The 13 mm (1/2 inch) ribbon was introduced beginning with s/n 407500 (source: Liste der gangbaren Schreibmaschinen, ed. 1941).

Collector with typewriter virus living in Austria. Fourty years ago typewriters were only standard office equipment for me. I was really glad to get my first but simple word processors in the early Eighties with delete, copy/paste and whatever wonderful functions. This fascination is over. Now I have returned to real mechanics.
