Description:
This machine came with 8 black Hammond-style shuttles and one gray metal Varityper-style shuttle.
The Varityper Folding is identical to the Hammond Multiplex Folding (please correct me if you are aware of any differences besides the production date ).
- 2024-03-17: Mostly cleaned! The machine needs new feet, although when in its case it is fine with the old, flattened feet.
- 2024-03-26: Added new pictures after cleaning/restoration. The machine also has a brand new impression strip and a new 7/16" ribbon.

I started collecting my first pre-WW2 standard typewriters in 2017. Since then I have added a few machines to my collection, which now ranges from the 1880s to the 1980s. As of 2024, I have more big standard (desktop) typewriters than portables, a few standard electrics, and some unusual machines like Varitypers, uncommon IBM machines, and more. I am not a pro restorer, but I have restored a few of my machines beyond simple cleaning.
