It is mostly working, although missing a foot. Types nicely, but harder than I am used to! The space bar needed adjustment, as well as the ribbon advance. The ribbon problems turned out to be caused by the maladjusted shift bar. The bell does not always ring and the back space is very rough. I am going to treasure this typewriter for a very long time.

Description:

This Underwood was found at a local thrift store. It is mostly working, although missing a foot. Types nicely, but harder than I am used to! The space bar needed adjustment, as well as the ribbon advance. The ribbon problems turned out to be caused by the maladjusted shift bar. The bell does not always ring and the back space is very rough. I am going to treasure this typewriter for a very long time.

Serial Number, located on the right side of the machine under the carriage (see ribbon in top left corner of picture). Unsure if the number 3 on the right side is part of the serial number.
