Description:
I got this 1918 Remington 11 in January of 2021 in Easton, Pennsylvania. I thought I was getting a good deal, because the machine came with the matching crate it was originally shipped in. The deal turned-out to be less than great. For one, it meant speaking with the seller, in the cold, in the alleyway, gradually descending into all manner of inane conspiracy theorizing, which was gut wrenching. Only when I got it home did I notice the crack in the front frame. The box has no serial-number links to the machine, though it does have some local, Philly provenance at 10th and Chestnut. And the original typewriter cover suggests it was sold at Jersey Typewriter Service in New Brunswick, NJ.
