Description:
I bought this Remington 7 Standard typewriter from a pawn shop in North Philadelphia in January of 2018 ($18), with hopes of using it as a parts machine to restore a 1903 Remington 7 I'd purchased earlier... only to find that this one was actually in much better shape than the one I was going to use it for parts! So I did a bit of role reversal: did a complete tear-down and rebuild, and swapped out the f.o.b. and other keys from the 1903 machine into this one, and then re-built it back. It is quite a looker! Not as great as a typer, though.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington 7 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington 7 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
