Born in the Midwest, but I grew up in Europe and Australia. I hold a BA in English from the University of Iowa and love to read and write. I'm drawn to Russian literature in particular, especially Chekhov and Tolstoy, but I do read widely. My personal library contains somewhere between two and three thousand books. I've been collecting typewriters since the fall of 2016 and enjoy writing with, cleaning, and repairing them. Imho, the typewriter is one of the great inventions of humankind, but I suspect you knew that already.
