Description:
This model was removed from the Illinois Department of Corrections maximum security units several years ago after a design flaw was exploited by an inmate allowing them to fashion a lethal weapon with the platen axle -- this according to an inmate presently serving life without parole at the Pontiac Maximum Security facility. I purchased this particular machine from the original owner who acquired it from the commissary of the Minnesota Department of Corrections, while he was serving a sentence for kidnapping and armed robbery in conjunction with a botched illegal drug transaction. The details of his arrest, conviction and confinement are public record.
His inmate number and last name are etched in several locations on the case with an electric pencil.
Manufactured from 1986 to present (2023)
Sold March 2022
