Description:
#1111. While going through and inventorying all of typewriters, I realized the Brother WP-1250 (13295) I had previously purchased was not the model of typewriter I had used while serving in the US Air Force in Korea. I used a Brother to write all of my letters home, so when I saw what I thought was the model in a second hand store, I picked it up (which started my obsession that lead to this being typewriter #111 in my collection). It turned out a I used a simpler model, like the WP-1150, so I purchased this one to put in my permanent collection.

I started my collection back in 2017 when I found a 1993 Brother WP-1250, which was very close to the typewriter I owned and used to write letters home while I was stationed in Korea serving in the US Air Force (I later discovered it was most likely the Brother WP-1150, so I picked that up). In 2018, my wife took me to one of the local antique store and I saw an old typewriter that caught my eye. My wife purchased it for me for Christmas (a 1932 Royal 10). My wife and I decided to limit my collection to 5 typewriters, so I need to sell off my surplus.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Brother WP-1150 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Brother Serial Number page and the Brother WP-1150 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
