Description:
1001. A Brother WP-1250 Word Processor Typewriter. While serving in the US Air Force in South Korea I used this type of typewriter to keep in touch with my family back home. I used this to type all of my letters. I found this in a little road side second hand store back in 2017 while the wife and I were traveling. We are not entirely sure where we were when we found it.
4/30/2020 update. It turns out that I most likely had a Brother WP-1150. I picked one of those up a short time ago...

I started my collection back in 2017 when I found a 1993 Brother WP-1250, which was very close to the typewriter I owned and used to write letters home while I was stationed in Korea serving in the US Air Force (I later discovered it was most likely the Brother WP-1150, so I picked that up). In 2018, my wife took me to one of the local antique store and I saw an old typewriter that caught my eye. My wife purchased it for me for Christmas (a 1932 Royal 10). My wife and I decided to limit my collection to 5 typewriters, so I need to sell off my surplus.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Brother WP-1250 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Brother Serial Number page and the Brother WP-1250 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
