I found this machine, in a take-it-if-you-can-use-it bin at the local recycling station. Unbelievable. Why pay for a machine when you can apparently now just get it for free...
Not a machine I'd typically go for, but hey, free typewriter, and fully functional too; no defects, scratches, or anything really that would suggest this was a 30+ year old machine and not fresh off the assembly table.
The only sign of usage is the somewhat depleted carbon tape cassette, hence no type sample, as those are hideously expensive to track down, in my subjective opinion.
The actual production year is an educated guess on my part - as the JP-18 series ran from 1994 to 2004, it could technically be made in 2004, but the style and context of the model makes this highly unlikely.
