Description:
Essentially a rebadged Olivetti Linea 98 made during Olivetti's ownership of Hermes Precisa. The badge indicating the factory is missing.
This typewriter once belonged to American Marine Bank, a Bainbridge Island based bank that got shut down by the DFI, and merged into Columbia Bank. As a result, it has an FDIC tag in it. This machine was used at the main office, and transferred to the Village branch in 1993.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hermes 45 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hermes Serial Number page and the Hermes 45 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
