Description:
I have sentimental attachment to the Brother Charger - when I started university in '92 in Creative Writing and English, we were required to type our assignments. Computers were still rare, and my girlfriend gave me a similar machine to type my essays and story, poetry, and drama submissions. It was a great machine, and I have no idea what happened to it. So when I found this piece for sale I snapped it up. It's in excellent shape, and still types very well. I doubt it was ever really used. The only problem has been cleaning the flaked correction tape gunk from all the insides. Apparently a common problem.

I have been collecting typewriters all my life, starting with a 1980's Brother Charger 11 (which I no longer have, but have replaced with an identical machine). I have well over 60 typewriters now, with a few rare portables. Some are interesting or odd, but most of mine are common machines.
My wife and I have made a deal, that I can keep buying typewriters if she can keep buying shoes. Fair enough! *shrugs*
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Brother Charger 11 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Brother Serial Number page and the Brother Charger 11 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
