Description:
I had no idea that Exxon made the Qyx "intelligent typewriter," until stumbling across this absolutely pristine version in the Bob Aubert collection, Delran, NJ in August, 2023. A fascinating daisy-wheel machine with limited memory and early word-processor design. The original advertisement dates from 1980: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=--uwuseejvU&fbclid=IwAR3uqC3CsEE09Lag3HkZPif0dt_MGT0pgIehw7h-O9juCyeDi_5UKFrkirg
This one powers on and tests okay, but doesn't seem to function far beyond that.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the QYX 2 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the QYX Serial Number page and the QYX 2 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
