Description:
UNIS tbm Biser 35/33 model with a Polish typeface, actually a clone of Olivetti Lettera 35, made by UNIS in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. Up to now, I thought UNIS was only manufacturing Traveller machines for Olympia and the "tbm traveller" models under its own brand. I spotted this machine posted by a Reddit user who found it on his family's attic and I add it to the TWDB with his approval, because it's a quite rare and unusual typewriter that I think we should have it here for reference and maybe get more information on the UNIS-Olivetti collaboration. On the TWDB, there is also another UNIS Biser machine, named 32, a clone of Lettera 32, but other than that I could not find any more information on those models.

Writer and blogger from Athens, Greece. I own a small collection of typewriters, most of my machines are functional and I try to repair any with problems that keeps it from typing. For me, it is important for a typewriter not just to sit on a shelve for display, but to be able to type when I want to. On the links below you will find my blogs and social media profiles. Feel free to follow me and get in touch if you want. I am always happy to communicate :)
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the UNIS tbm Biser 35-33 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the UNIS Serial Number page and the UNIS tbm Biser 35-33 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
