Description:
The Barefoot Contessa.
It's actually a compliment to describe this Triumph as an average machine in terms of its performance. Most machines house in plastic cases such as this feel flimsy and cheap, but the Contessa does well to overcome the deficit and is a solid worker.
A strange omission for a De Luxe model, the machine lacks touch control, something that would have been a nice addition because its type action is a little too heavy for my liking.
I'm also lukewarm about its design. It's not an ugly typewriter, but it also lacks any stunning details that would make it memorable.
There doesn't seem to be any data concerning its serial number and year of manufacture, but since the regular Contessa was an early '70s model one has to assume the De Luxe was made at the same time.
