Description:
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any serial number on this thrift store sighting. It was very heavy and not working. Still, an interesting encounter.
This "Remington" is a Brother JP-4 type electric (see the Brother database).
I note that it has manual carriage return -- primitive for the time, and this is probably a reason why it is pretty scarce today.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington 611 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington 611 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
