Description:
Found this typewriter at a flea market, I liked its looks very much. It is manufactured by IMESA Spain, the serial number is well hidden, engraved on a metal part underneath the keyboard, but unfortunately there are no data from the manufacturer to be able to date it. It features Greek typeface. As for the typing experience, well, nice to look at, hard to work on. It is noizy and it gets worse by the bad quality plastics. Nevertheless, it does what it is supposed to, it types pretty descent. A sweet "entry level" typewriter in my opinion. What still impresses me is that the keys are similar to those of the Hermes typewriters!

Writer and blogger from Athens, Greece. I own a small collection of typewriters, most of my machines are functional and I try to repair any with problems that keeps it from typing. For me, it is important for a typewriter not just to sit on a shelve for display, but to be able to type when I want to. On the links below you will find my blogs and social media profiles. Feel free to follow me and get in touch if you want. I am always happy to communicate :)
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Florida De Luxe on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Florida Serial Number page and the Florida De Luxe By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
