Description:
Somebody was giving this late wide-carriage SM9 away for free, and I was lucky to get it. It was very dirty as usual, but after a bit of cleaning this is an excellent machine; typing fast and without mistakes with it comes very naturally after a little bit of practice. This is the slightly lower quality version made in the late 1970s, which can be identified from the all grey platen knobs. It is still a great typewriter, poised to receive a permanent place on my writing desk, but it has plastic in places where I did not expect to find it, despite the metal body.
Has the old standard Finnish keyboard layout and the standard Pica typeface.

I have been looking for ways to spend less time on electronic devices, and because of this I started doing my writing and translation work with pens and pencils, and now on typewriters as well.
I will probably start selling and giving away some of my machines after I figure out which ones are most useful to me. Some people have asked me for a working typewriter, so I have been on the lookout for machines purely for that purpose as well.
