Third one i ended up winning from 1977. I do prefer the 40 to the 42, mostly due to the ribbon cover but again this one does type nicely now it's had a full service.

I picked up a couple of typewriters for display and use for the public at events where a police station is set up. The few i have are all Imperial Good Companions. Learnt to type on a manual typewriter, then on an electric one while in comprehensive but have completly forgotten how to touch type. Although pecking at the keys is more in keeping with a station.
