UPDATE: Eventually my not enjoying the plastic clip-clipping, the sort of chirp-chirping of the light, plastic machine, this one was scheduled to be eliminated. How and ever, I have a son who had compassion on this machine and so took it. Now sometimes, I see him busy with it at the table.

Though not a lover of "modern" typewriters, I am a lover of Erikas, but in plastics especially the 50. Mine has no tabulator so is the 50, not 60. Curvature of the sides and the green color, make this a favorite and, other than my Selectric II, my only post-1960s machine. (n.B. the red dot being there on the Leertaste makes for quick-time spacing.)

Call me Papa. Some time ago, never mind how long precisely, I decided to buy a typewriter. I think it was a Royal, but as way led on to way, it got away from me. I got older.
Now, I am but an humble collector of archaic writing machines. Rather than indiscriminately gathering them hither and thither, I painstakingly choose the next one, and all are used for epistolary endeavors.
