1975 Olivetti Lettera 32 Serial # 8228086 1975 Olivetti Lettera 32 typewriter, Serial # 8228086 Pekka Sallinen's 1975 Olivetti Lettera 32 typewriter. 2024-02-01 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Pekka Sallinen: 1975 Olivetti Lettera 32 Serial # 8228086 I purchased this Finnish pre-1976 keyboard Lettera 32 from Tampere, Finland for a reasonable price, especially since the machine seems to work flawlessly. I was seeking out for Lettera 32, as I - Ipeculiar enough - received an instruction leaflet for it a few days back with a Hermes 3000. This was missing the leaflet, so I now happily have both the typewriter and the leaflet. Keeping the leaflet (which is a sheet of thick glossy cardboard) safe might pose a problem, as this case does not have pockets or anything - maybe it is supposed to be kept under the typewriter, I don't know.

The glue that used to keep the fabric liner to the case has gone bad years ago and hence the yellow shade in the seams inside the case. Only missing part I noticed was one piece of black tape from the case that protects the fabric under the rubber feet; easy to replace if I ever end up refurbishing the case.

And how does she type? She is wonderful, almost as smooth as the Hermes, easy to type quite fast with two-finger style.
