Description:
My five year old son loves my typewriters. He wanted his own red typewriter so when I saw this functioning, kids typewriter on Ebay, I figured it was perfect. The back says it was manufactured in England by Byron Jardine but I haven't been able to figure out the date of manufacture. The person I bought it from thought it was sometime in the 1970s.
(Byron Jardine)
2018 Update: I sold this one, got my son an Underwood.

I'm an academic librarian and a writer. I confess to typewriter ogling, a symptom of being a mécascriptophile.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Sears Holiday on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Sears Serial Number page and the Sears Holiday By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
