1972 Sears Achiever Serial # 7722375 1972 Sears Achiever typewriter, Serial # 7722375 Tami Sutcliffe's 1972 Sears Achiever typewriter. 2019-11-09 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Tami Sutcliffe: 1972 Sears Achiever Serial # 7722375 This is a hybrid: an Olivetti 92/Underwood 378 (made in Barcelona, Spain) and sold by Sears under the "Achiever" name in the US. It is an Underwood 319/378 body on Olivetti 92 mechanicals, with an "Achiever" plate. A sturdy bright blue plastic machine which works quietly and does not slide off the desk, and includes a modest bell and a brilliant red ribbon. A nice clean typer in a clever clam shell case. Let's just call it "Achiever" and not quibble over the family history, ok?
