Description:
A fellow collector spotted this in his locality on the other end of the country, and proxy purchased it for me, so really it's all his credit finding this one. Love the typeface and the positive feedback you get from the keys leaving you no doubt you hit the key properly. I don't think I've felt this much feedback in an electric, it feels like a manual but not quite as much effort. Perfect balance. Pretty much what you'd expect from a Hermes, at least that's what I'm told...

New collector with a penchant for offbeat models/brands and, conversely, the mundane models many overlook, if I have a personal connection or just find them interesting. Finding that collecting typewriters is like eating potato chips, you can't have just one! Also restorer of mechanical calcs, Vintage audio, and vintage computers.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hermes 101 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hermes Serial Number page and the Hermes 101 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
