Description:
This Adler Universal 400 was rescued from a trash heap in the old town hall of my tiny hometown. Fully functional, it was just full of eraser crumbs and a few decades of dust.
Originally Finnish layout Ro1T Modern Pica, typebars swapped to German layout Ro37 Plakat. The platen ratchet gear was also changed to one with fewer teeth to accomodate the taller height of the Plakat type. Planning on changing the keytops at some point to match the new slugs.
I made custom ribbon spools, since it came with one plastic one and one metal Olivetti spool.
