This was it. A Brother JP-8 sold through S. S. Kresge.
It was frozen from many years of neglect, but some cleaning and lubrication had it running like new. With new 5mm rubber grommets and a fresh ribbon it's ready to go.

This was it. A Brother JP-8 sold through S. S. Kresge.

The left spool came with the typewriter. The right was a plastic universal spool, so I replaced it with an extra spool from an Underwood Four-Bank portable.
