1971 Scheidegger (Adler) Typomatic TMS Serial # 4780338 1971 Scheidegger (Adler) Typomatic TMS typewriter, Serial # 4780338 Jonas Lauritsen's 1971 Scheidegger (Adler) Typomatic TMS typewriter. 2023-07-21 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Jonas Lauritsen: 1971 Scheidegger (Adler) Typomatic TMS Serial # 4780338 A fully functional machine, found by chance at a flee market, for less than $8.
There was no case alongside it. It was missing a foot, so I 3D printed one, which slottet right in.

The keyboard is Danish, and I had some trouble figuring out what brand this machine actually was, while looking at other entries in the Adler family.
Looking at the Adler J4, it looks pretty similar: it has the tabulator regulator on the right side, and overall shape looks okay-ish. But the margin stops are the wrong shape.
Likewise, the Adler Gabriel 10 looks very VERY similar to this machine, but the lack of a tabulator regulator on the right side, right below the tab key itself, means it doesn't quite look the same either.
So i don't know.

Either way, with my serial number, it should work out to be from 1971 either way, and it anyone can enlighten me further about how to distinguish it between the two models (or even a third option), I'm all ears.

Casual collector of replica flintlock pistols, and in that same vein, picked up a couple of typewriters through the years - as a mechanical engineer, I could not resist.
