Description:
The elusive dial a type slug!
An easy service and away she goes. These JP-4s were aimed directly at the SC Electra 110/120 and 210/220 lineup. And in almost every way, they are better machines. The one exception is that the case is not up to the weight of the machine. I bet that was a Remington idea because the Brother Montgomery Ward Signature cases are top-notch.
This machine was stuck and I think that accounts for a pretty loud motor once I got it unstuck. The white bits could use a UV treatment, but it is not too bad. I have seen so much worse. Not enough sun now anyway. My brown table makes everything look more beige as well.
Purchased on 9.22.1970 for $129.50 plus tax.

Typewriters are the perfect blend of using one's technical skills, history and functional purpose. My goal is type tested machines. My interests are not isolated to anyone area. For example, I am a big fan of Smith Corona electrics, mid century electrics and all things Royal.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington (Brother) 611 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington (Brother) Serial Number page and the Remington (Brother) 611 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
