In direct contrast to the type performance of the Studio 44, the Lettera 31 has a light action that provides good feel and a taught response. For a portable typewriter you could do a lot worse. However, there is something different about its keyboard - and those on other Lettera models - that I have yet to figure out. It always takes me a while to get used to typing with them after not having used one in a while.
