Hermes numbers for this model take a strange leap between 1970 and 1971, so I'm not sure where this one fits because it's too low for 1971 and impossibly high for 1970.
I've passed on a number of these Media 3/3000 models because I thought them too ugly to own, but after developing an appreciation for the overall quality of Hermes machines, I couldn't say no to this immaculate Media. I still want to cover it with a brown paper bag at times, but have to admit that it's also growing on me a little.
As a side note, this was the first time that I've ended up with two machines from different manufacturers that were originally bought from the same typewriter retailer. Both this Media 3 and an Erika I own have stickers from the same store.
