Description:
We bought this typewriter on our way back from our southwest US vacation earlier this year (2020). It was off our route by about 45 minutes but the gentleman that sold it to us only wanted $5 dollars for it. I gave him $10 as I didn't want to spend the time to break it and I thought it was worth more than $5 dollars anyways. Someone on facebook referred to these as Undervettis and I think I like that as it's pretty much a Studio 44 with a different body. I have Studio 44 from Olivetti that's not in the best shape mechanically, I might end up blurring that Undervetti even more and put the Olivetti body on the Underwood mechanics one day. But until then this is a pretty awesome if a bit heavy $10 typewriter.
